Run in Copenhagen Sep 2010

Copenhagen is an awesome place for runners. One can even call it free worlds heaven. There are avid bikers all around the place, infact there are more bicycles than cars and buses. Public transport system is extremely efficient. Its a very environment conscivous country. There are various lakes and one can run in loops across these lakes. It's truly a runnners paradise.
I love the place, the culture and people. They are so Indian type with almost similar values system. There are a couple of very dear friends and that makes the place even more dear.
I had a bit of neck sprain and was not having my running shoe with me but the view of the lake and it's loops were too tempting.
Planned and started my run on Tuesday 14th sep. As soon as I started it began drizzling. It's quite a familiar scene in Copenhagen and is typical of a tropical weather. It rains for few mins followed by a bright sun shine but then it rains again. This goes on for the whole day
So you will find people carrying all sorts of high tech devices like long and short umbrellas, high heel boots, various types of jackets, rain coats etc.
I started early at 06:15 and due to cold weather there were very few runners. I did one loop of 1.5 kms in my Keds following Christopher mcdougals philosophy of doing everything right. Of late I have been distributing free gyan to lot of people on running. I personally feel that
one has to respect his/ her body and worship it like god. Running is a ritual that needs to be done very regularly. It's sad to see people abusing the body in which their soul lives. It's the "I" and still when it comes to loving thyself people ignore it completely. They never
realize that they abuse their system.
Running and runners - i just love everything.
Early morning it was a calm, chill wind, refreshing all the senses, making each organ come alive. It was an out of body experience. On the left was a beautiful lake and on the right avid runners, smart ladies, few dogs, some grass cutters. It was a scene worth capturing its
every moment. I completed my first loop of 1.5 kms and decided to take on the 2nd loop and
then the 3rd and on ....till I completed the 5th loop. It was such a wonderful feeling. I was lost in myself, my body, my soul and then i realized I had reached my start point.

Very difficult to retread, but had to. Loved the whole environment and walked back to the world that I belonged to.
It was normal once i was back in my hotel room. Life was as I had left 60 mins back.

It was an awesome run. It had rained a bit last night. Early morning at -4:45 all of us assembled near the Sushant Tower ( Sec-56). The group had more than 300+ runners. We ran along the Aravallis range. It was simply minblowing, the scene, the spirit, the energy.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the event.
